SPX Corporation and WorldWide Environmental Announce Agreement

KALAMAZOO, Mich., March 18 -- SPX Corporation and
WorldWide Environmental, manufacturers of computerized emissions analyzer
equipment, announced today that they have formed an agreement that will
benefit customers involved in the California BAR-97 state mandated emissions
testing program.
This agreement will allow WorldWide to purchase the SPX emissions analyzer
platform with BAR-97 certified software and pair it with the dynamometer that
they have provided to their customers. This strategy enables the certified
testing stations that have purchased equipment from WorldWide to receive fully
certified equipment in a timely manner.
SPX Corporation will provide service to the equipment through their
network of professional field technicians.
SPX was the first manufacturer to be awarded certification by the
California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) for their complete system, which
includes a computerized platform, dynamometer, and software that meets all
state specifications.
The new, enhanced BAR-97 emissions test will help bring the air quality in
California into compliance with the Federal Clean Air Act of 1990 by using a
more sophisticated test procedure, including use of a dynamometer.
SPX Corporation is a global provider of Vehicle Service Solutions to
franchised dealers and independent service locations, Service Support to
