Thrifty Moves in Terminal in Los Angeles International Airport

    LOS ANGELES, March 18 -- Thrifty Car Rental has signed an in-
terminal concession agreement with Los Angeles International Airport and is
now serving customers from five in-terminal counters.
    The Los Angeles location is Thrifty's busiest in the U.S.
    Thrifty has served its customers from its 80,000-square-foot facility on
Century Blvd. for 15 years and has grown more than 10 fold in that period in
cars and revenue.  The existing facility will be maintained to continue to
serve local customers.
    Worldwide, Thrifty has in-terminal locations in 40 cities in the U.S. and
is in all major Canadian and Australian airports, in addition to being in the
terminal in most major cities in the Caribbean, and Central and South America
where Thrifty has a presence.
    Thrifty Car Rental is an international network of about 1,200 locations in
nearly 60 countries.  Thrifty serves both the airport market and the local car
rental market, and is one of the country's largest airport parking operators
with more than 14,000 spaces in 48 U.S. cities.
