TB Trailer Axle Payback Analysis Available from Meritor

LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 17 -- Meritor Automotive, Inc.
announces the availability of an electronic worksheet which
performs a cost comparison of Meritor's TB trailer axle with unitized hubs to
a standard trailer axle with conventional wheel ends.
"This PC-based tool allows our fleet customers to see, first-hand, how our
TB trailer axle can save them money in the long run," said Guy Vachon, trailer
axle product manager for Meritor's Worldwide Trailer Products business. "The
worksheet provides a fleet with a custom report based on their own average
maintenance costs."
The easy-to-use worksheet automatically calculates the TB axle payback
when a fleet enters their average seal and bearing routine maintenance costs,
average in-service seal failure repairs and lost equipment productivity costs
over a five-year period.
Each of Meritor's district sales managers are equipped with the payback
worksheet on their laptop computers to perform custom on-site calculations for
fleet customers. The interactive worksheet can also be accessed from
Meritor's worldwide website at http://www.meritorauto.com -- under the Trailer
Products section. In addition, a 3.25" diskette containing a Microsoft Excel
file of the worksheet can be obtained by ordering SP-9864 from Meritor
Automotive, Literature Distribution Center, 35000 Industrial Road, Livonia,
Mich. 48150, or by calling Meritor at 800-535-5560.
