Carey International Announces Boston Acquisitions

    WASHINGTON, March 17 -- Carey International, Inc.
today announced that it has signed definitive agreements to
acquire A and A Limousine Renting, Inc. of Somerville, Massachusetts and
Custom Transportation Services, Inc. of Braintree, Massachusetts.  The
companies have combined annualized revenues of approximately $10 million.
    Founded in 1924, A and A Limousine Renting is the largest premium
chauffeured vehicle service business in Boston.  The company has served as
Carey's exclusive licensee in the Boston area since 1970.  Custom
Transportation Services was founded in 1989 and provides executive
transportation services primarily to corporations in the greater Boston area.
    As part of both transactions, key members of management will continue to
be involved in the management and development of the businesses.

Wolfington, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Carey International.  "The
acquisition of our licensee of close to 30 years, as well as of one of its
distinguished competitors, is consistent with our strategic objective to
consolidate key markets."
    Mr. Wolfington continued, "These companies provide us with a platform to
pursue other acquisitions, increase market share, and grow the business
through our expanded sales and marketing program."
