Textron Automotve Selects Cardinal Logistics As Third Party Logistics Provider

CONCORD, N.C., March 16 -- Cardinal Logistics, Inc. (CLI) of
Concord, NC has been named the lead logistics provider for Textron Automotive
Company Trim Group, of Troy, MI. In this multiple year agreement, CLI will
provide a variety of logistics management services for Textron, including
managing the overall network flow of over 75,000 annual multi-modal
transactions.
In this agreement, CLI will provide inbound and outbound management
services for 23 Textron facilities. CLI will provide dynamic optimization,
consolidation, network design, carrier management, transportation management,
claims management, on-line tracking and tracing, and information collection
and distribution services for Textron.
Doug Aplin, Director of Materials and Logistics for Textron Automotive
Trim, comments, "We believe this partnership will help us achieve our
strategic goals and provide the most current technology available among
managed transportation providers. Cardinal Logistics has demonstrated an
enthusiasm to work with our manufacturing facilities and assure their service
requirements are met, while meeting our cost and technology requirements for
the future."
Brian Adams, Manager, Logistics and Transportation for Textron Automotive
Trim, continues, "Partnering with Cardinal Logistics allows me to benefit from
state-of-the-art technology and the expertise of a 3PL, while maintaining the
value of my own logistics department. Cardinal will be able to meet the needs
of our manufacturing plants while obtaining the objectives of our Corporate
Offices."
Eric Wolfe, Senior Vice President of Logistics Operations, comments, "We
are delighted to be aligned with Textron Automotive, Inc. The characteristics
of their supply and distribution network enable Cardinal Logistics to
implement our portfolio of services in a time definite JIT environment. This
endorsement by Textron validates our entry into the third party non-asset
logistics management arena. We look forward to initiating services and
growing with the Textron family of companies."
Tom Hostetler, President of Cardinal Logistics Management, continues, "Our
strategy from day one was to buy the best in "off the shelf" transportation
software that would perform well in rigorous, multi-modal, high volume
situations. We accomplished this in selecting the Intertrans Logistics
Solutions suite of transportation optimization and management tools. By
combining our operations acumen with the appropriate technology, we are
confident in our ability to manage the daily operations and to provide key
strategic direction, which ultimately is the true value of a lead logistics
provider. We certainly look forward to teaming together with Textron to
provide premium transportation and decision support services."
CLI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cardinal Logistics Management, Inc.
