Durakon Industries Names New Vice President -- Engineering & TechnologyLAPEER, Mich., March 3 -- Strengthening its industry leadership in product quality and technology, Durakon Industries, Inc. announced today that it has appointed John C. Montagna as Vice President -- Engineering & Technology. In his new role, Montagna will be responsible for all product and process engineering, as well as the development of new technology related to the vehicle accessories business segment. "We are pleased that John is part of our senior management team," said Craig Parr, Vice President, Operations. "John's experience and proven track record make him well-suited to expand Durakon's role as the technological leader in bedliners and other vehicle accessories." Mr. Montagna joined Durakon in 1995 as Manager, Manufacturing and Product Engineering, responsible for product and process engineering, materials development, project management, tooling and maintenance. Prior to 1995, Montagna held a number of senior engineering and technical management positions with PPG Fiberglass Company, Aluminum Company of America, Chevron Corporation and Gulf Oil. Mr. Montagna received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich.
