Toyota Purchases Transom Jack Human Simulation Software

   Japanese automaker to use Transom Jack to evaluate automotive interiors

    ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 27 -- Transom Technologies, Inc.
announced today that Toyota Motor Corporation of Toyota City,
Japan has purchased its industry leading Transom(TM) Jack(R) human-centric
visual simulation software and has retained Transom for related implementation
services.  The Japanese automaker plans to use Transom Jack initially to
evaluate the ergonomics and human factors of its automotive interiors.  Toyota
is also actively exploring uses of the software for workflow simulation in
manufacturing.
    Toyota selected Transom Jack after an exhaustive competitive analysis and
benchmark comparison of human modeling software.  Said James D. Price,
president and CEO of Transom:  "Toyota was looking for best-in-class
simulation tools backed by a partner who understood their engineering and
manufacturing concerns. We're gratified that they chose us."
    "Our success in realizing our significant market potential in Japan is

than Toyota Motor Corporation."
