Budget Signs Partnership Agreement With Air France

    LISLE, Ill., Feb. 26 -- In a continued move to boost its
international business, Budget Rent a Car Corporation, the world's third
largest car and truck rental company, announces a new partnership agreement
with Air France, one of the world's leading international airline carriers,
effective January 1998.
    Air France, which serves over 100 countries worldwide, including the U.S.,
offers all members of Air France Frequence Plus frequent flyer program the
opportunity to earn mileage points at participating Budget Rent a Car
locations around the world.
    Members of Air France Frequence Plus can earn 400 mileage points for each
rental at standard rates and 200 mileage points for all rentals at corporate
rates.  In order to receive miles, members are required to fly Air France
within 24 hours of their rental and present their membership card at the
rental counter.  Mileage points can be redeemed toward free Budget car rentals
or Air France airline tickets.
    "Budget continues to develop strategic partnerships with international
airline carriers which provide our mutual customers with attractive frequent
flyer programs," stated Mark Sotir, senior vice president, Worldwide Marketing
and Reservation Operations for Budget Rent a Car Corporation.  "We also strive
to align ourselves with partners who can help us grow our business in key
international markets."
    In addition to Air France Frequence Plus, Budget is a partner is many
domestic and international airline frequent flyer programs including
Aeromexico Club Premier, Air Canada Aeroplan, Air New Zealand Air Points,
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, Alitalia Mille Miglia, British Midland Diamond
Club, El Al Israel Airlines Frequent Traveler Clubs, Lufthansa Miles & More,
Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, United Airlines Mileage Plus and Virgin
Atlantic Freeway.  Each time members of these program rent from Budget at
participating locations worldwide, they earn free air miles and credits
towards car rental discounts, upgrades and free rental days.
