Judge Grants Donnelly Corporation's Motion for Summary JudgmentHOLLAND, Mich., Feb. 24 -- Donnelly Corporation announced today the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has granted Donnelly's motion for summary judgment on all remaining counts in the lawsuit filed against Donnelly by Midwest Manufacturing Holding LLC. The lawsuit originally included three counts, one of which was dismissed in August 1997. The motion for summary judgment on the remaining two counts was granted by James F. Holderman, United States District Judge, on February 5, 1998. The lawsuit, filed in early 1997, challenged Donnelly's decision not to go forward with the sale of its Information Products business unit to Midwest. Information Products is the world's largest producer of specialty coated and shaped glass for the computer touch screen industry. "Donnelly acted in good faith in all its talks with Midwest, and made the business decision based on what was best for our employees and shareholders," said Chad Quist, president of Information Products.
