Delphi and Lear Sign Letter of IntentDETROIT, Feb. 24 -- Delphi Automotive Systems and Lear Corporation announced today that the two companies have signed a letter of intent for Lear to acquire Delphi's seating business. The letter paves the way for the two companies to begin negotiations that would lead to a final sale sometime during the second quarter of 1998. Delphi announced in September 1997, that it would begin discussions with potentially interested purchasers of both its seating and light business.
