Federal-Mogul Names Michael L. Pape Vice President and Operations ControllerSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 23 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation today announced the appointment of Michael L. Pape to the newly created position of vice president and operations controller, effective March 16, 1998. Reporting to Thomas W. Ryan, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Pape will be responsible for worldwide financial planning, analysis, and forecasting, along with the development of financial talent to support the future growth of Federal-Mogul. "Mike's proven financial leadership and accomplishments in the automotive industry are a great addition to our growing company," said Ryan. "He has been instrumental in the development of financial systems and successful corporate consolidations and we welcome him to the Federal-Mogul team." Pape joins Federal-Mogul from Tenneco Automotive, where he most recently served as controller, North American aftermarket. During his 10 years at Tenneco, Pape held increasing levels of responsibility including director of financial planning and analysis, manager of operations accounting, plant controller and manager of general accounting. Pape earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and is a Certified Public Accountant.
