Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure for Sealing Systems GroupSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 16 -- Federal-Mogul Executive Vice President - Sealing Systems, Wilhelm A. Schmelzer, announces the new organizational structure for the Sealing Systems Group with the following appointments: * Rick Streicher, vice president, Sealing Systems - North America * Jean-Pascal Laffaille, vice president, Sealing Systems - Europe * Jeff Kaminski, director of finance, Sealing Systems * Luis A. Diaz, director of human resources, Sealing Systems These appointments will be effective upon closure of the company's previously announced acquisitions of T&N plc and Fel-Pro Incorporated. "The team we have assembled for the sealing systems group draws on some of the best talent from Federal-Mogul, T&N, and Fel-Pro," said Schmelzer. "This approach will help our integration while at the same time providing top-notch leadership for our group." Rick Streicher, Vice President, Sealing Systems - North America As vice president, Sealing Systems - North America, Streicher will be responsible for the gasket and seal operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico for original equipment and aftermarket customers, in addition to business activities in Japan. Prior to this appointment, Streicher was executive vice president, technology and operations at Fel-Pro. Streicher joined Fel-Pro in 1992 as vice president of operations and since then has assumed additional responsibilities for distribution, development and application engineering. Before joining Fel-Pro, Streicher held senior management positions in manufacturing operations at various companies including ITT and Consolidated Aluminum (U.S. subsidiary of Swiss Aluminum). Streicher earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois. Jean-Pascal Laffaille, Vice President, Sealing Systems - Europe As Vice President, Sealing Systems - Europe, Laffaille will be responsible for the gasket and seal operations in Europe for original equipment and aftermarket customers, in addition to business activities in the rest of the world, including subsidiaries and joint ventures in Brazil, South Africa, India and China. Prior to this appointment, Laffaille held the position of chief executive officer of T&N's sealing products group worldwide. Previously, Laffaile held the positions of managing director for T&N's friction products aftermarket throughout Europe; and president of Ferodo Abex France and Ferodo Necto Spain. Prior to T&N's acquisition of Abex France, Lafaille held the positions of managing director - Italy, director of finance - Europe, and director of finance - France. Laffaille graduated from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris and also studied computer management at the Institut National d'Informatique de Gestion, as well as completing the Advanced Management Program INSEAD. Jeff Kaminski, Director of Finance, Sealing Systems Jeff Kaminski will be director of finance, Sealing Systems. Prior to this appointment, Kaminski was director of finance in charge of the implementation of economic value added throughout Federal-Mogul. Since 1989, Kaminski has held several key positions within Federal-Mogul including general manager of the Australian aftermarket operation; international aftermarket controller; and corporate staff controller. Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Kaminski held senior finance positions at R.P. Scherer Corporation and Deloitte Haskins and Sells. Kaminski earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. Luis A. Diaz, Director of Human Resources, Sealing Systems Luis A. Diaz will be director of human resources, Sealing Systems. Prior to this appointment, Diaz served as international human resources manager for Federal-Mogul. Diaz joined Federal-Mogul in 1994 as human resources manager for the international aftermarket. Previously Diaz held senior human resources responsibilities with Chiquita Brands International, Quaker Oats Company and the Venezuelan National Oil Company. Diaz received Master's Degree in Labor and Human Resources from Ohio State University and a Bachelor's Degree from the Universidad Catolica Andre Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. In conjunction with the above appointments, Michael Fisher will assume responsibility for original equipment sales, product and application engineering, Sealing Systems - North America, reporting to Rick Streicher.
