Buick Offering Consumer Test Drives at Cincinnati Auto ShowFLINT, Mich., Feb. 13 -- You can't feel the rush of the wind or thrill of riding a wave at most boat shows. And you can't harvest the fruits of your labor at a home and garden show. But Buick is making sure you can experience the real comfort, real power and real style that is Buick during the Cincinnati Auto Show. Cincinnati Auto Show attendees will have the opportunity to test-drive an all-new Buick throughout the show in a unique, "no pressure/no hassle" public test drive. The show runs from Feb. 13 through Feb. 22. "Buick and its dealers have built a reputation for innovative, effective auto show activities for years in virtually every market within which we compete," said Larry Hicc, Buick General Sales and Service manager. "In 1998, we take presence to a new level of effectiveness through these test drive opportunities across the United States." Named "The Buick Auto Show Challenge," Buick representatives invite visitors from the exhibit to take a brief test-drive with the cars staged just outside the hall. After refreshments and some preliminary paperwork, drivers choose from a fleet of cars representing each Buick brand: Century, LeSabre, Park Avenue, Regal and Riviera. Preceding the drive, a Buick brand specialist gives drivers a quick walk-around and points out a variety of the car's features. Following the drive, participants complete a short survey and receive a tote bag emblazoned with a "I Took the Buick Challenge" logo along with Buick literature and a selection of Disney videos and coupons for savings on airline travel. This year Buick will conduct test drives at auto shows in Houston, Harrisburg (PA), St. Louis, Cincinnati, San Diego, Raleigh (NC), Salt Lake City, Cleveland, Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City and Minneapolis. This is the most extensive auto show test drive program in Buick's history. SOURCE Buick
