Atlanta-Based Axis Expands in Brazilian Automotive Market

    ATLANTA, Feb. 9 -- Axis Group, Inc. (Axis), the wholly owned
subsidiary of Atlanta-based Allied Holdings, Inc. has announced
that its Brazilian subsidiary Axis do Brasil, a joint venture with Coimex
Trading Company of Vitoria, Brazil, concluded negotiations by which Axis do
Brasil will be an equity partner in a newly formed Brazilian firm Axis Sinimbu
Logistica Automotiva (ASL).  ASL will be a provider of supply chain logistics
services for the automotive industry in the Mercosur market area.  ASL was
formed by combining the resources of three existing companies with annual
revenues of $145 million.
