Altima Sales are Again Tops for Nissan Division
CARSON, Calif. Feb. 3 -- Nissan's new Altima again led
monthly sales, according to figures released by Nissan Motor Corporation
U.S.A. (NMC). Turning in sales of 10,830 for January, the Altima was up 10.9
percent over last January and 6.9 percent over last month.
Rounding out the top three volume leaders for January were the Nissan
Maxima and Pathfinder. The Maxima reported January sales of 8,164 units, up
14.7 percent over last month. Pathfinder had its second best January ever
with sales of 6,039, up 13.9 percent over last month and up 4.8 percent over
last year.
The Nissan Sentra turned in sales of 4,465 units. Sedan sales for January
totaled 23,459 units, up 5.4 percent over last month.
Total pickup sales, including the Frontier, were 4,770 units. Nissan
Quest recorded sales of 1,877 units, bringing total truck sales to 12,686
units for the month.
January sales for Nissan Division totaled 37,211 units. NMC sales for
January, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions, totaled 40,992 units.
Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., which includes the Infiniti luxury
division, markets and distributes Nissan and Infiniti vehicles in the United
States to more than 1,200 dealers.
