Infiniti Reports Model Year Increase of 15.4 Percent - I30 Posts Best January Ever -
CARSON, Calif., Feb. 3 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. (NMC), reported a 15.4 percent increase versus
the 1997 model year. Total January sales for the division were 3,781 units.
As the volume sales leader, the Infiniti I30 reported its best January
ever, with sales of 1,952 units, up 28.4 percent versus last January. The
Q45, Infiniti's flagship luxury performance sedan, posted January sales of 402
units. The J30 personal luxury sedan recorded sales of 183 units.
Total QX4 sales for January were up 2.4 percent versus last year, with
1,242 units sold. The QX4 is Infiniti's second highest volume seller and
continues to maintain its strong position in the luxury sport utility
category.
NMC sales for January, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions, totaled
40,992 units.
