Lear Donnelly Overhead Systems L.L.C. Appoints President/Chief Executive Officer

    DETROIT, Jan. 30 -- Richard Perreault has been named
president and chief executive officer of Lear Donnelly Overhead Systems L.L.C.
The announcement came today from Kenneth L. Way, chairman and chief executive
officer of Lear Corporation , and Dwane Baumgardner, chairman and
chief executive officer of Donnelly Corporation .
    In his new position, Perreault is responsible for all aspects of Lear
Donnelly's  global operations, including defining the strategic direction for
the newly formed company.
    Perreault, 38, assumes his new position with over 20 years of experience
in the automotive industry, and has worked for industry-leading companies
including General Motors and Magna.  Most recently, he worked as the director
of mergers and acquisitions for Lear Corporation.
    "Richard has the right combination of strengths and experiences to
effectively lead Lear Donnelly as it becomes a leading, fully functioning
automotive supplier with complete capabilities to design, market, produce and
distribute overhead interior systems," said Dwane Baumgardner.  "His
experience on both the automaker and the supplier side of the industry gives
him great insight into the needs of the automotive customers around the
world."
    A native of Quebec, Canada, Perreault earned a bachelor's degree in
industrial administration and finance from the General Motors Institute (now
Kettering University), and a master's degree in industrial and systems
engineering from the University of Michigan.
    Lear Donnelly Overhead Systems L.L.C. is a 50-50 joint venture between
Southfield, Michigan-based Lear Corporation and Holland, Michigan-based
Donnelly Corporation.  A supplier to nearly every automaker worldwide, Lear

headliners, overhead consoles and lighting components, vehicle electrification
