EDS and Jeff Sacks & Associates to Offer Portable Sales Tool For Automotive RetailersLAJOLLA, Calif., Jan. 29 -- Jeff Sacks & Associates announced today a collaborative marketing agreement with EDS to offer automotive retailers a portable sales tool, called SalesLink(TM), that puts new and used vehicle inventory in the palm of one's hand. Created and developed by Jeff Sacks & Associates, SalesLink makes the latest vehicle and customer information available when and where it's needed by connecting to an automotive retailers dealer management system utilizing a 3Com, PalmPilot(TM) -- a pocket-sized, handheld personal data assistant from U.S. Robotics. At the touch of a button, SalesLink connects to a retailer's database, converts it and sends it to the PalmPilot via software called HotSync(TM). Through the marketing agreement, EDS will offer an exclusive package that includes hardware, software, training, and installation. To maximize automotive retailers' technology investments already in place, SalesLink interfaces with a number of dealer system providers offerings including EDS, Reynolds + Reynolds, ADP, and UCS. In addition to supplying critical up-to- the-minute inventory and customer related information through SalesLink, the PalmPilot also provides access to a number of valuable electronic business tools such as an address book, datebook, memo pad, and a list of scheduled to- dos. "The EDS agreement with Jeff Sacks & Associates further demonstrates our company's commitment to a dual strategy of building automotive retail solutions where none exist and partnering with world-class, best-in-practice offerings where appropriate.
