Auto Dealers Attending the NADA Convention in New Orleans Will Find the Best Lunch May Not Be in the French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 29 -- Crawfish Etouffee, red beans and rice
with andouille sausage, seafood gumbo, cafe aulait and beignets are just an
example of the type of lunch that will be served to dealers while attending
the Auto Auction of New Orleans NADA Guest Sale Tuesday February 3, at
12 noon.
With many of the 19,000 plus dealers planning to attend the NADA sale this
week in New Orleans, the Auto Auction of New Orleans wants the dealers to feel
right at home with a special NADA 1000 unit Guest Sale. Alamo and Enterprise
will feature over 200 rental cars, in addition to a strong fleet lease, repo
and dealer lanes.
"This is going to be a fun sale and dealers will be able to get a great
taste of New Orleans," stated Vic Yancone, BSC America Auction Group
Vice-President. "The sale is open to all dealers and has a great mix of
domestic and import vehicles. Since many of the auctions attended by new car
dealers are closed factory sales, an open sale lets the dealers attending the
convention visit with many of their friends that represent other franchises."
Automobile auctions today are an important part in the success of today's
new car dealerships. One out of every two used vehicles sold are purchased at
an auction and it is no surprise that dealers report over 50% of their profits
are earned in the used car department.
For many attendees and newcomers to the automobile industry, this may be
their inaugural visit to an auction.
The Auto Auction of New Orleans is a member of the National Automobile
Auction Association and is located five minutes from downtown New Orleans only
1/2 mile off interstate 10, at 6600 Almonaster Avenue. The facility is
located on 40 acres with five auction blocks. The auction has been servicing
the southern Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast area since 1987. Free
shuttle service will be available from the downtown area to the sale by
calling 504-242-9318.
