Peregrine Announces ChangesSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 27 -- Peregrine Incorporated, a private automotive parts company headquartered in Southfield, Mich., announced today the resignation of chairman and CEO Edward J. Gulda, effective immediately. Jess C. Ball, currently COO, will assume the additional responsibilities of CEO. Ball has held senior executive positions with several manufacturing companies including Fairfield Manufacturing, Chicago Pneumatic and the General Electric Co. Peregrine also announced today that Horst Sieben was appointed CFO, effective Jan. 12, 1998. Sieben was most recently CFO at Freedom Chemical Co., and, prior to that, CFO at Foodbrands Inc. Sieben previously worked with Ball in turning around a variety of manufacturing companies for Joseph Littlejohn & Levy, the private investment partnership that formed Peregrine on Dec. 31, 1996. Ball and Sieben will focus on continuing to implement the turnaround already underway at Peregrine. Peregrine supplies interior and exterior automotive products to the automotive industry through manufacturing operations in Battle Creek, Flint, Jackson, Livonia and Warren, Mich.; and Oshawa and Windsor, Ontario; and Matamoros, Mexico.
