Turbodyne Adds John Singleton To Board

     WOODLAND HILLS, CA., Jan. 27 /CNW/ - Turbodyne Technologies Inc.

     Turbodyne Technologies Inc. (``Turbodyne'') today announced the agreement
to add John P. Singleton to its Board of Directors.  Mr. Singleton will also
serve the company as Chairman of the Finance Committee and as a Financial
Advisor.
     ``Mr. Singleton brings to Turbodyne extensive strategic planning and
financial expertise,'' said Chairman and CEO Edward Halimi.  ``John's
experience in financial planning, domestic and international joint ventures,
finance, operations, and his proven ability to evaluate and develop business
opportunities, fills a key function at Turbodyne as it enters its next stage
of development and commercialization.''
     Mr. Singleton is currently President and CEO of Singleton and Associates.
He was previously General Manager, Business Development at IBM.  He was
responsible for creating strategic joint ventures, and major systems
architecture and systems integration relationships with top Fortune 500
companies.  He also evaluated opportunities involving new products and
services.
     From 1982 through 1992, Mr. Singleton was promoted seven times from Sr.
Vice President, Central Information Group to Vice Chairman and COO of Security
Pacific Corporation, the fifth largest U.S. bank.  During his tenure, he
directed and controlled operations for Security Pacific banks in Alaska,
Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Canada with $16 billion in assets. He
also planned and administered a $1.2 billion operating budget for an
organization with 14,000 personnel worldwide.  Under his direction, Security
Pacific's Northwest Banking Franchise set a record net profit of $105 million.
     Mr. Singleton's management experience prior to Security Pacific includes
positions at Maryland National Bank.  Great Western Finance Corporation,
Security National Bank, and the Federal Reserve Board - Washington, D.C.
     Also, Mr. Singleton holds, or has held, positions with the following
organizations and associations: Director-Executive Committee, Los Angeles
Chamber of Commerce; Trustee, Azusa Pacific University; Chairmanship, Union
Rescue Mission Second Century Campaign; Vice Chairman, National Alliance of
Business Board; Board Member, California Angels Major League Baseball Team;
Board Member, Paravant Computer Systems, Inc. and IFS International, Inc.
