National Auto Credit, Inc. Announces Resignation of Its Auditors

    SOLON, Ohio, Jan. 20 -- National Auto Credit, Inc.
announced that its auditors, Deloitte & Touche LLP, had resigned.
Deloitte & Touche LLP advised the Company that information had come to its
attention that let it no longer be able to rely on management's
representations.  Deloitte & Touche LLP informed the Company that it had made
no investigation of such information.
    The Board of Directors of the Company has, at the urging of senior
management, appointed a special committee of the Board consisting of the
Company's outside directors to investigate these matters.  In an effort to
facilitate the investigation, Mr. Robert J. Bronchetti, President and Chief
Executive Officer of the Company, and Mr. Sam J. Frankino, Chairman of the
Board of the Company, have temporarily delegated executive responsibilities to
the special committee.
