Brian S. Behm Named President of Power Team Unit at SPX Corporation

    MUSKEGON, Mich., Jan. 16 -- SPX Corporation
announced today that it has named Brian S. Behm as President of the company's
Power Team unit.
    Before joining SPX, Mr. Behm was Vice President Sales and Marketing of the
Lighting Products business of Allied Signal/Grimes Aerospace, Urbana, Ohio, a
leading manufacturer of aircraft lighting equipment, engine system components
and electronic systems.  Prior to that, he held several positions of
increasing responsibility in operations, product planning, and product
management at General Electric.
    Mr. Behm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from
Cornell University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from
Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
