    TORONTO, Jan. 15 -- The largest "trunk" in the industry --
Budget's VIP Pickup -- is now available at participating Budget locations
throughout Canada for just Canadian $35 a day through March 31, 1998.
    Hundreds of Budget VIP Pickups have been distributed from coast to coast
and each vehicle comes fully equipped with a top-of-the-line bed liner and
locking security trunk.
    "We're offering our customers a one-of-a-kind rental with the Budget VIP
Pickup, and for a really great value," states Michael Alaouze, vice president
and general manager for Budget Canada.
    Budget's target market for VIP Pickups includes the value-minded leisure
market and corporate travelers who are looking for a little more fun and
excitement when they rent for business.  For customers who may be toting golf
clubs, skis or even production equipment, the Budget VIP Pickup offers plenty
of protected "trunk" space.
    From now through March 31, 1998, customers can rent a VIP Pickup for only
Canadian $35 per day, which includes 200 free kilometers per day.  Additional
kilometers are charged at Canadian 15 cents per kilometer.
    This special offer cannot be used with any other discount or promotional
offer, and is subject to vehicle availability and blackout periods.  Local
rental requirements apply and the vehicle must be returned to the renting
location.  Optional coverages, refueling, taxes and applicable mileage charges
are additional.
