Laforza Automobiles and Ford Motor Company Finalize Strategic Equipment AgreementSAN DIEGO, Jan. 14 -- Laforza Automobiles, Inc. (0TC Bulletin Board: LFZA) announced today that they have finalized their Agreement with the Ford Motor Company relative to the installation of Ford engines in the new, 1998 model LAFORZA Sport utility Vehicles. Under the terms disclosed, Laforza Automobiles has agreed to purchase a minimum of 100, V8 engines from Ford during the '98 calendar year. In addition, Ford has agreed to ship the engines pre-assembled, which will expedite the Company's final installation process. Laforza President and CEO Dave Hops commented, "We are extremely pleased with the way the negotiations went with Ford. It was evident both sides wanted to get this deal done so that we can get on with building a premier automobile for the upscale SUV market." The LAFORZA's rolling chassis are built in Cherasco, Italy and are imported directly to the Company from the manufacturer, Magnum Industriale. Laforza Automobiles, Inc. then provides final assembly (including the complete Ford power train) and distribution through its limited dealer network.
