Lake Named General Manager Of Intermet Virginia FoundryTROY, Mich., Jan. 12 -- Intermet Corporation announced today that Steve Lake has been named general manager of Intermet's Radford Shell iron foundry in Radford, Virginia. He reports to vice president of foundry operations Jim Peterson. Lake joined Intermet's Wagner Castings operation in 1981 and has held engineering and manufacturing positions at Wagner's Decatur and Havana foundries in Illinois. He was manager of manufacturing services at the Decatur foundry before serving most recently on temporary assignment as general manager of Intermet's Alexander City Casting aluminum foundry in Alabama. He received his B.S. degree in manufacturing from Bradley University in 1982. Troy-based Intermet Corporation and its subsidiaries design and manufacture precision iron and aluminum castings for automotive and industrial equipment manufacturers worldwide, produce precision machined components, cranes and specialty service vehicles, and provide custom coating applications.
