supplier. Total annual volume should approximate 700,000 airbag cushions and
$9.7 million in annual revenues from the six programs. Total orders from this

production and will require approval of the automobile manufacturers prior to
commencement of production by Safety Components.

largest worldwide airbag module integrators," said Robert A. Zummo, president
and chief executive officer of Safety Components International, Inc. "In
addition, Safety Components has bid on all new airbag cushion programs with
this customer and we believe we are well positioned to expand the awards to an
annual volume of 3.5 million airbag cushions by the end of our fiscal year
1999. We also believe we can broaden our relationship with this customer to
include European business."
