Investors Can Now Find Goodyear Stock Price at Tiremaker's Web Site

    AKRON, Ohio, Jan. 8 -- Goodyear shareholders -- and any other
web surfers with an interest in the tiremaker -- can now check out the
company's latest stock price at http://www.goodyear.com.
    The company's Internet homepage now includes the latest available stock
price.  Goodyear is one of just five members of the "Dow Jones 30 Industrials"
to include this information on its homepage.
    "Many investors are using the Internet to research companies and, in
growing numbers, actually buy and sell stock," said Holly Ash, Goodyear's
director of investor relations.  "Putting our stock information near the top
of our homepage gives our shareholders quick and easy access to information
about their investment."
    A simple click on the stock price icon, takes one to a page displaying
charts showing how Goodyear's stock price compares with the S&P 500 over the
past year and daily trading volume.  Another click reveals this information
for the past three months, six months, three years or five years.
    Also available in the Investor Relations section of http://www.goodyear.com, are
cyber-copies of Goodyear's annual report and quarterly earnings announcements,
as well as its Form 10K and 10Q financial reports.
    Goodyear's Web site, which was the tire industry's first outpost on the
Internet, is regarded by many as one of the best business sites in the world.
