United Recyclers Group Forms a Strategic Alliance with Aristo International

DENVER, Colo., Jan. 7 -- United Recyclers Group, LLC
announced today an alliance with Aristo International, a supplier of shipping
logistics software. URG recently introduced a state of the art recycler
inventory management system (RIMS), utilizing a modem operating system for its
300 + members. The new RIMS, the Pinnacle Auto Recycling Trading System
(PARTS(TM)), uses standard protocols and a Fox Pro database, allowing the
flexibility to link with other modem software. URG's members have been
utilizing inventory management systems, running on decades old platforms, with
no other choices available. URG's Computer Features Committee worked over
200 days in 1997 designing and deploying the new system.
Aristo is a world class supplier of computerized shipping systems, and one
of only a few sources for software with the capability of dealing with small
parcels as well as larger motor freight shipments. Aristo's package will
provide URG partners with freight quotes at the time of order. The system
will also manifest the shipment and allow auditing of freight invoices, in
addition to generating management reports.
Auto Recyclers are historically large volume shippers. Ron Sturgeon, a
URG member in Texas, says, "Our shipping expenses were over $250,000 last
year, and the Aristo package will easily reduce those costs by over 10%, while
making us more efficient, and allowing us to offer better customer service."
URG is proud to be affiliated with Aristo, and the use of the modem
technologies available through Aristo's system will leverage URG's new system
into greater efficiencies for its partners.
