Donnelly Corporation Names New Vice President of Business Development

    HOLLAND, Mich., Jan. 7 -- Frank O'Brien has been named vice
president of business development, Donnelly Corporation announced
today.  In this newly created position, O'Brien will have global
responsibility for marketing Donnelly's rear vision product range.  Along with
his new responsibilities, O'Brien will continue in his role as director of
customer business units for Donnelly's European operations.
    O'Brien, 39, joined Donnelly's Ireland operations as the international
marketing executive in 1981.  During his career at Donnelly, O'Brien has held
a number of increasingly responsible positions in sales & marketing and
operations.  He has worked at Donnelly operations in Ireland and the United
States, and helped establish Donnelly's first facilities in Tokyo, Japan, and
Goteborg, Sweden.
    A native of Athy, Ireland, O'Brien has both a bachelor's and a master's
degree in business studies from the National University of Ireland, and is a
graduate from the European Community's Executive Training Program from the
Keio University in Japan.  He is a member of the American Marketing
Association.
