Federal-Mogul Announces Corporate Communications Staff AppointmentsSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 6 -- Kimberly A. Welch, vice president of corporate communications for Federal-Mogul Corporation announces the appointments of Tammera Hallums and Roxanne Kerr as corporate communications managers and Kimberly Barry as communications specialist. In addition, Debra Lacey, communications coordinator, has been assigned expanded responsibilities. All appointments are effective immediately. Hallums joins Federal-Mogul from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan where she was promotions specialist since 1995. Prior to this, Hallums was in communications positions at Sandy Corporation, working on Chevrolet's PRO magazine, and Florists' Transworld Delivery Association. She began her career as a staff writer for the Genesee County Herald in Clio, Michigan. Hallums earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Michigan State University. Kerr joined Federal-Mogul in 1994 as marketing communications coordinator. She previously was a product manager with Betco Corporation in Toledo, Ohio. Kerr began her career at Monroe Auto Equipment Company where she held positions in marketing and production control. Kerr is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She currently serves on the board of the Automotive Communications Council. Barry has held the position of project 2000 communications coordinator since January 1997. She joined Federal-Mogul in 1996 as project office administrator within the reengineering department. Barry began her career in the automotive industry with General Motors Corporation working in human resources. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and organizational development from Spring Arbor College in Michigan. Lacey has been communications coordinator since October, 1996. Her responsibilities have been expanded to include supporting Federal-Mogul's government relations and the company's commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit. She joined Federal-Mogul as a corporate communications intern in March 1996. Prior to this, Lacey was a marketing coordinator for Research Federal Credit Union in Warren, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
