Dana Corporation Reorganizes Fluid Product Sales Operations For Stronger Customer Focus

TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 6 -- Dana Corporation today
announced the reorganization of its Boston Weatherhead Division and Fluid
Product Sales Division into one unit that will link the manufacturing, sales,
and service of Dana's fluid and material transfer products more closely to its
customers.
The new division will retain the name Boston Weatherhead Division and will
be led by Mike Carrigan, a 29-year Dana veteran who will serve as vice
president and general manager.
Mike Plumley, vice president of Dana's Industrial Components Group, said,
"One of the reasons for this change is to grow the Boston Weatherhead group
globally. This move better positions Boston Weatherhead for future growth
through existing product lines and new acquisitions."
Carrigan added, "The organization change will facilitate closer working
relationships with our customers, as well as provide for more rapid new
product introductions. This is an exciting time for all of our people as we
continue our quest to improve quality and services."
Representing two of Dana's oldest brand names, the Boston and Weatherhead
operations use the most technologically advanced equipment to manufacture
industrial hoses for product transfer, containment, and fluid sealing
applications, as well as hose assemblies and tube fittings for the industrial,
off-highway, and heavy-truck markets. They also supply air conditioning,
power plant, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer systems to various
markets.
Close ties with distributors will continue to be a hallmark of Boston
Weatherhead. There are more than 1,700 appointed distributors for Dana's
Boston(R), Weatherhead(R), and Everflex(R) brands.
Boston Weatherhead is one of three divisions that comprise Dana's
Industrial Components Group. The others are Warner Electric Motors and
Controls and Warner Electric Industrial Products.
Dana Corporation is a global leader in the engineering, manufacture, and
distribution of products and systems for the automotive, heavy truck, off-
highway, engine, and industrial markets. It also operates a leasing services
