VSI Holdings, Inc. Reports Year End September 30, 1997 Financial Results

    DETROIT, Dec. 18 -- VSI Holdings, Inc. (AMEX: VIS.EC) today
announced Revenues of $148,338,000 for the fiscal year ended September 30,
1997 and Net Income of $9,142,000.  For the prior year, Revenues were
$150,299,000 producing Net Income of $6,835,000.
    Operating Income increased 68% to $11,127,000 from $6,636,000 last year.
    Net Income per share 1997 was $0.28 compared to $0.21 in 1996 on a
weighted average of 32,784,000 and 32,767,000 shares respectively.

provider of touring venues for museums and zoological parks; and Dress Code, a
retailer of women's apparel.
