Executive Changes at Orbital

    PERTH, Australia, Dec. 18 --  Orbital Engine Corporation
Limited today announced changes to its senior executive group.
    Mr. John Beech, Orbital's Chief Financial Officer since 1987, will
relocate to the United States where he will become President of Orbital's
Marine & Recreational Products business unit.  He will remain as an Executive
Director on the Board of Orbital Engine Corporation.
    The move will strengthen the Company's US executive presence at a time
when customers are releasing Orbital-related products into the market.  Other
key roles for Mr. Beech will be to support the Corporation's growing US
customer base and consolidate relationships with strategic partners.  He will
also be responsible for strengthening Orbital's relationships within the US
investment community.
    Mr. Peter Hatfull will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer,
effective immediately.  Mr. Hatfull joins Orbital with 25 years experience in
the field of finance and accounting in industry and commerce.  He began his
career in the United Kingdom with Coopers & Lybrand before joining Peat
Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in Africa.  He has previously served as Finance
Director and Chief Financial Officer with a number of public companies, most
recently as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Australian industrial group
Whittakers Limited.
