Talon Automotive Group Acquires Production Stamping Inc.

    TROY, Mich., Det. 11 -- Talon Automotive Group, a privately
held full-service supplier of stamped structural modules and automotive
interior trim, has announced the acquisition of Production Stamping Inc.
(PSI), a manufacturer of medium-sized stamped and welded automotive components
and finished assemblies, headquartered in New Baltimore, Mich.
    "Part of Talon Automotive Group's strategic plan is to expand through
acquiring companies that will strengthen our stamping position within the
industry and foster organic growth throughout the company," said Talon
Automotive Group President and CEO Del Stanley.  "PSI fits these requirements
and is a financially sound company with a strong management team and excellent
reputation among our customer base."
    The acquisition complements Talon Automotive Group's metal stamping and
modular assembly operations, which consist of Veltri Metal Products Co., Troy,
Mich.; Hawthorne Metal Products, Royal Oak, Mich.; and J&R Manufacturing Inc.,
Harrison Twp., Mich.
    "This acquisition helps PSI reach its growth plans by providing expanded
capabilities to supply large modular systems to our customers," said President
Richard Rossetti.  "By becoming part of Talon's metal operations, we also gain
access to its prototype manufacturing and design capabilities.  This really is
a win-win situation for both companies."
    PSI has manufacturing facilities in New Baltimore and Oxford, Mich.  With
booked sales in excess of $80 million, PSI specializes in value-added products
such as crossmembers, suspension brackets, trailer hitch assemblies and airbag
canister assemblies.
    PSI will maintain its name and operate as a part of the Talon Automotive
Group.
