Smart Choice Automotive Group Agrees to End Acquisition Negotiations With Redditt Ford and Wooten Ford

    TITUSVILLE, Fla., Dec. 5 -- Smart Choice Automotive Group,
Inc. today announced that it has agreed to discontinue
negotiations regarding Smart Choice's proposed purchase of Bill Redditt Ford
and Warren Wooten Ford.  Redditt Ford is located in Stuart, Florida and Wooten
Ford is located in Cocoa, Florida.
    Smart Choice Automotive Group, Inc. operates a network of new and used car
dealerships in the Southeastern United States.  The Company underwrites,
finances and services retail installment contracts generated from the sale of
used cars by its dealerships.  Its Eckler's subsidiary is one of the world's
largest aftermarket suppliers of Corvette parts and accessories.  Through
wholly-owned subsidiaries, the Company also provides training and insurance
services to automobile dealers throughout the United States.
