Brake Headquarters Announces Acquisition of WAWD-EAP Automotive Products Inc.

    LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y., Dec. 4 -- Brake Headquarters U.S.A.,
Inc. has announced today the merger of WAWD-EAP Automotive
Products Inc., with a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.  They are
recognized as an industry leader in the importation, distribution and sale of
quality automotive aftermarket products for over 35 years.  They carry name
brand products for each of the categories it services.  WAWD sells a complete
line of products for European and Asian vehicles.
    Joseph Ende, CEO of Brake Headquarters U.S.A., Inc., said, "The combined
companies will enable us to continue our growth strategy, improve customer
service and bring our products to any market within the continental U.S.
within 1 or 2 days."  In addition, he added, "The enlarged product lines of
both companies will create a greater customer service, and increased shipping
capabilities for both customer bases as well as potential for expansion into
new markets."
    The total combined sales of both companies in for the 12 months ended
December 31, 1996 was $78.3 million and for the nine months ended
September 30, 1997 was $56.1 million.  The acquisition of WAWD has added
5 distribution centers serving major markets in the U.S. located in Los
Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX and Piscataway, NJ,
to the 3 existing distribution centers Brake Headquarters currently maintains
in Long Island City, NY, Fairfield, IL, and Portland, OR.
    Brake Headquarters has been engaged in business as a wholesaler of
undercar parts since 1976.  Brake Headquarters imports, assembles, distributes
and manufactures undercar parts to the automotive industry.
