Hertz Equipment Rental Unit Launches New Web SitePARK RIDGE, N.J., Dec. 2 -- Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corporation and the largest construction and industrial equipment rental business in the United Sates, has launched a Web site at http://www.hertzequip.com. The Web site was developed to provide detailed information on HERC operations and services, including listings of U.S. rental locations by state, product information by equipment category and information on HERC's new Industrial Resource Group, which rents tools and equipment and sells consumables such as hard hats, goggles and work gloves. The site allows users to quickly search for specific categories of equipment and view representative photographic images and detailed equipment specifications. Users may also submit a rental request and a Hertz Equipment Rental representative will contact them directly to discuss their needs. In addition, the site is personalized; it welcomes back returning visitors. Customers can search the site for a specific branch listing, which provides not only addresses and phone numbers, but the ability to link to a mapping Web site for specific driving directions to any branch location. Customers can easily navigate the site and search HERC's online Source used equipment catalog, which details its full inventory of used equipment available for purchase. Users can search by keyword, equipment category, state and manufacturer. This area also allows customers to request a copy of HERC's Source catalog. "We wanted to create a dynamic site that was easy for users to navigate and that provided an informational and communication link between HERC and our valued customers," said HERC President Gerald A. Plescia. The site also features timely information on local and regional promotion for HERC customers. Currently, the site is offering contractors and government municipalities across the United States low rates on long-term rentals of snow-ready equipment. Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation operates from 134 locations in the U.S. and 11 in Europe. SOURCE Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation
