Lund International Commences Tender Offer for 4.8 Million Deflecta-Shield Shares at $16 Per Share

    ANOKA, Minn., Nov. 28 -- Lund International Holdings, Inc.
today announced it has commenced its previously announced
tender offer for all 4.8 million shares of the common stock of Deflecta-Shield
Corporation at a price of $16 per share in cash.  The tender
will expire at 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on Friday, December 26,
1997, unless the offer is extended.
    Based in Anoka, MN, Lund International Holdings is a leading designer,
manufacturer and marketer of a broad line of fiberglass and plastic appearance
accessories for new and used light tracks, including pick-up trucks, sport
utility vehicles, mini-vans and other vans.
