Kia Announces Prices for 1998 Kia Sephia Compact Sedan

    IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 19 -- Kia Motors America today announced
that pricing for the all-new 1998 Sephia will change little from the previous
generation Sephia.
   For 1998, Kia's compact sedan is available in two trim levels -- base
Sephia and well-equipped Sephia LS.  New this year is a Power Package
(available on LS models only) that essentially replaces the GS trim level,
last year's top-of-the-line model.
    The Sephia has a suggested list price of $9,995, a modest price increase
from last year's base price of $9,795.  The suggested list price for the
popular Sephia LS is $10,995, a $100 increase over last year's price.
    All Sephia models include manual dual remote outside mirrors; body-color
front bumper, grille, door handles and mirrors; driver's footrest (dead
pedal); and P185/65R14s -- an upgrade from last year's 13-inch tires.
    To those features, the Sephia LS adds a wide variety of additional
equipment:  power steering, split-folding rear seat, rear-seat beater ducts,
remote trunk release and tilt steering wheel.  Full cloth seating with a seat-
cushion tilt mechanism on the driver's seat also is standard on the Sephia LS.
    The Power Package adds several more comfort and convenience features, such
as air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, power
mirrors, tachometer, variable intermittent windshield wipers and AM/FM/CD
audio system with six speakers.
    Kia Motors America now has authorized dealers in more than 100 U.S.
markets in 31 states.
