ACI Names Veronica Sosa de Ferrer Plant Manager

    TROY, Mich., Nov. 18 -- American Commercial Industries Inc.
(ACI) has appointed Veronica Sosa de Ferrer plant manager of the Matamoros,
Mexico, facility.  Sosa de Ferrer will be responsible for its overall
operations.
    "For the past three years, Veronica has learned the inner workings of our
company and this facility.  She has developed into a valuable asset to the
company," said Larry O'Dowd, ACI president and CEO.  "As our organization
continues to expand globally, we insist on a certain level of excellence from
all of our employees worldwide.  We feel that Veronica is ready to meet that
challenge."
    Sosa de Ferrer joined ACI in January of 1994 as an administrative manager,
responsible for accounting, purchasing, safety, personnel and training.
Previously, Sosa de Ferrer held the human resources manager and materials
manager position for Gobar systems.
