ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., Nov. 14 -- Daewoo Motor America

America's three vehicles in the U.S. market. It is projected to open April
1998.
J.C. Park, president of Daewoo Motor America (Central) and Michael J.
O'Malley, Mayor of Hoffman Estates, participated in the groundbreaking
ceremony today. "Daewoo will be offering consumers a whole new car-buying
process and ownership experience," said Park. "We are proud to become a
member of the Hoffman Estates community and look forward to adding to its
continued growth and success. It's exciting to break ground at the first
store and we are looking forward to opening in a few months."

"We're proud to welcome Daewoo into the Hoffman Estates community and are
especially thrilled to be selected as the first place that Daewoo will open
its doors in the Midwest," said Mayor O'Malley.
The Daewoo stores will include certain features and amenities that will
create an enjoyable and personalized car-buying experience for the consumer.
For instance, store design will focus on hospitality and convenience,
including open display areas, a children's play area and interactive
information centers.
Daewoo Motor America intends to sell three vehicles in the U.S. market
beginning in spring 1998. Vehicles include the Leganza, a mid-size car; the
Nubira, a compact car; and the Lanos, a subcompact car.
