Hayes Lemmerz International to Supply Cast Aluminum Wheels For 1999 Buick Regal

    ROMULUS, Mich., Nov. 13 -- Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc.
has received a contract from General Motors Corporation
to supply cast aluminum wheels for the Buick Regal LS, beginning
with the 1999 model year.
    The wheels will be produced at the company's Huntington, Indiana,
manufacturing facility for shipment to GM's assembly plant in Oshawa, Ontario.
Shipments are expected to begin in mid-1998.
    "This latest contract represents another addition to the long list of GM
vehicles that are equipped with our wheels," said Ron Kolakowski, president,
North American Aluminum Wheels.  "Hayes Lemmerz has long been a supplier to
General Motors and we look forward to being a part of a vehicle with the class
and style of the Buick Regal."
