United Recyclers Group Announces New Computer System for Its Members: Pinnacle Auto Recycling Trading System (PARTS)

FLORENCE, Ala., Nov. 11 -- United Recyclers Group, LLC (URG)
announced today the introduction of a new state of the art recycler
information management system (RIMS), to replace the dated systems currently
being utilized by the auto recycling industry. URG is deploying the new
system, Pinnacle Auto Recycling Trading System(TM) (PARTS) throughout North
America, exclusively for its 250+ member locations. URG has formed a joint
venture, Actual Systems of America (ASA), located in Denver, Colorado, for the
development, sales, and service of the system. The Director of Operations of
ASA is Steve McNeill, a 15-year industry veteran. The managing partner of ASA
is Peter Riddle, a UK native. Mr. Riddle has been serving recyclers in the UK
for over a decade, through Actual Systems UK.
URG began research and development of the new system earlier this year, as
a result of its dissatisfaction with ADP's Recycling Management Systems. ADP
is currently the only substantive supplier of RIMS to the auto recycling
industry. URG's goal is to build a Premium Trading Group, forever changing
the auto recycling industry in North America utilizing the new RIMS introduced
today. Steve McNeill adds, "In all my years serving this industry, I have
never seen so much technology utilized in a new product. Even more amazing is
that URG and ASA developed the system introduced today, in less than 1 year,
and under budget." URG believes this goal cannot be accomplished without a
modern RIMS and robust communication between its members, Insurers, and
customers, including collision repair facilities and service shops.
Recyclers' current systems use decades old operating systems, while the New
Pinnacle System relies on FoxPro and Windows 95 with Unix to support existing
hardware.
URG's 250+ members represent approximately $500 million in sales of
recycled auto parts. Included in the Pinnacle Auto Recycling Trading System
showcase of products and services will be:

-- Use of the Internet for communications between members and customers,
and an Internet based Trading System between members.

-- Powerful handheld computers, for use in buying salvage at auctions and
        processing inventory of arriving salvage.

-- Bar code inventory applications, including wireless real time
        applications.

-- Extensive management reports, covering vehicle parts sales
profitability, part performance, inventory turnover and salesperson
        performance.

-- Digital imaging for inventory and interchange purposes.

URG members believe the "PARTS" system will allow their members to
increase sales, improve profits and lower prices, increasing the sale of
recycled parts to wholesale customers and consumers. The system is integral
to URG's goals of redefining the auto recycling industry, which consists of
over 10,000 typically family owned small businesses. URG intends to use the
system to leverage its credibility, allowing its members to become the
suppliers of choice within the automotive aftermarket for recycled parts.
