Pierburg Instruments Inc. to Hold Grand Opening at New Auburn Hills Location

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 10 -- Pierburg Instruments Inc.,
the world's leading manufacturer of fuel measurement equipment, will be
holding a grand opening event, Wednesday, November 12, 1997, from 5-7:30 p.m.
at its new location at 1797 Atlantic Boulevard in Auburn Hills.  The 27,500-
square-foot facility is the company's new North American Technical Center.
    Located at the new Pierburg facility are several state-of-the-art
calibration and test labs, in addition to design and engineering,
manufacturing and administration, as reported in ChamberWay (October 1997).
As indicated by Peter Kaub, president, most of the world market uses Pierburg
flow meters to test fuel injectors.
    "This is an exciting time for Pierburg.  We are continually growing and
exceeding current demand to produce test equipment of the highest and most
efficient calibre," Kaub said.  "Our new location in Auburn Hills is an
indication that Pierburg is committed to the United States auto industry and
with supplying our customers with the best solutions to issues facing the
automotive industry."
    Pierburg is a subsidiary of the aviation technology firm, Pierburg
Luftfahrtgerate Union GmbH in Neuss, Germany, which together with the engine
components manufacturer, Pierburg AG in the same city, belongs to the holding
corporation, Rheinmetall AG in Dusseldorf.
