Aura Systems Receives Chrysler Corporation's Design Excellence Award for its AuraGen(TM) Mobile GeneratorProvides Emergency Electric Power from Vehicles EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov. 7 -- Chrysler Corp. has given its Design Excellence Award to Aura Systems for the AuraGen(TM) Mobile Generator. The award is "in recognition of aftermarket innovation and quality," and comes from the identification of those aftermarket products that can have an important impact on the acceptance and sale of Chrysler vehicles. Mr. Dennis Myles of Chrysler presented the award. The award represented the integrated judgment of a team of Chrysler marketing, design and engineering personnel who reviewed the product applications being shown at the 1997 Specialty Equipment Market Association/Auto International (SEMA/AI) Show in Las Vegas, November 4-7. The show has over 60,000 attendees and 1,100 exhibitors, including original equipment manufacturers such as Chrysler. The AuraGen(TM) was the only product selected for an award under the vehicle performance component category. The AuraGen(TM) Mobile Generator provides 5,000 watts of high quality, 120/240 VAC under-the-hood power even at low engine speed, providing responsive mobile power as required for industry, commerce, recreation and emergency response.
