Federal-Mogul Appoints Mark S. Wright Assistant Controller

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 28 -- Kenneth P. Slaby, vice
president and controller of Federal-Mogul Corporation today
announced the appointment of Mark S. Wright to assistant controller.  In this
newly-created position, Wright will be responsible for financial reporting,
corporate accounting, and accounts payable and payroll functions located in
Southfield, Michigan.
    "Mark is a very talented leader who continually develops the people in his
organization.  His leadership skills combined with his technical background
and results orientation has and will continue to be a tremendous asset to the
corporation," said Slaby.
    Wright joined Federal-Mogul in 1995 as financial reporting manager.  He
most recently served as manager of corporate accounting.  Before joining
Federal-Mogul, Wright was a manager of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in Detroit,
Michigan for eight years.
    Wright earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of
Michigan in 1987.  He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified
Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
