ACI Names Paul Snyder Director of Special Projects

    TROY, Mich., Oct. 28 -- American Commercial Industries Inc.
(ACI), has appointed Paul Snyder to Director of Special Projects.  Snyder will
be responsible for reviewing and maximizing the effectiveness of ACI's
worldwide manufacturing processes.  He will report directly to Larry O'Dowd,
ACI president and CEO.
    "Paul has the necessary skills and experience it takes to identify,
coordinate and execute a variety of unique opportunities for ACI," said
O'Dowd.  "He will help us operate to the best of our ability, thereby ensuring
the highest quality products for our customers at the most cost-competitive
price."
    Prior to joining ACI, Snyder was vice president of special vehicles for
MascoTech Inc., where he supervised various manufacturing aspects of concept
and low-volume vehicles, such as specialty sport and electric vehicles.
Snyder also worked as a world-wide manufacturing trouble shooter for Chrysler
Corp. from 1983-1988, providing solutions to global production challenges for
such platforms as Lamborghini and Maserati.
