Michigan Rivet Corporation Announces QS-9000 and ISO 9002 Registration

    WARREN, Mich., Oct. 20 -- Michigan Rivet Corporation in
Warren, Michigan and its subsidiary, The McLaughlin Company in Petoskey,
Michigan are pleased to announce their registration to Quality Management
System standards QS-9000 and ISO 9002 effective August 19, 1997.
    The Warren plant has been in operation since 1949 and the Petoskey plant
since 1981.  They manufacture specialty fasteners such as worm gears,
bushings, pivot pins, reheaded pins, shoulder rivets, round, hex and square
weld nuts, flange nuts, lock nuts, keps nuts and spacers by the cold heading
process.  All parts are manufactured to exact blue print tolerances.  The
Warren plant includes a 30,000 square foot warehouse which allows us to comply
to our customers just-in-time delivery programs.
    Michigan Rivet Corporation has long-term contracts in place with the major
automotive companies along with several defense contractors and agricultural
machine manufacturers.  These long-term contracts will help in assuring growth
into the Twenty-First Century.
    Revenue in our fiscal year 1998 is expected to reach $45,500,000.
