from across North American industry to achieve this top level of manufacturing
success.
A general business publication with 800,000 readers, IndustryWeek will

"The rest of the world now knows what we've known for some time _-
Aeroquip New Haven is one of the best manufacturing facilities in North
America," said Darryl F. Allen, Aeroquip-Vickers chairman, president and chief
executive officer. "It is a tribute to the management and employees of the
New Haven facility to be so honored, and to the management of Aeroquip which
has guided the growth of this facility since its opening in 1991."
The Aeroquip New Haven facility offers expertise in designing,
manufacturing and testing a wide variety of products and services for air
conditioning and refrigeration systems. Its products include various styles

Comfort Products Corporation, Lennox Industries, Nordyne Inc., Rheem
Manufacturing Company, The Trane Company and York International Corporation.
The Aeroquip facility was chosen as one of the 1997 best plants in a two-

record 275 nominations to 25 finalists. The final 10 winners were then
selected, following completion of a follow-up questionnaire and site-visit
validation.
